Hey! I’m Lindsay!
I’m a 25 year old healthy food nerd living just outside Seattle, and this is my blog! I began, and continue, writing Lindsay Loves Veggies, because I have a desire to share my knowledge and passion with others, and support them in living healthy, green lifestyle!
I graduated from Washington State University in 2010, with my BS in Nutrition. College turned me into a total foodie. I became a vegan in January 2011, inspired by Kris Carr’s Crazy Sexy Diet, and using what I learned through that experience, currently eat a mostly plant-based (though not 100% vegan) diet. I love reading, and learning more about food and nutrition.
Besides being obsessed with great food, I’m also into holistic health, fitness (mostly running and yoga), green living, the Pacific Northwest, music (everything from The Beatles to Grouplove, to Taylor Swift, to Kid Cudi, to The Doors), my wonderful boyfriend of two years, Keenan, our crazy/awesome chihuahua/min-pin, Arlo, and learning to follow Jesus Christ. My day job is currently working as a nutrition assistant in a major Seattle hospital. For more on the personal side of things, be sure to check out my new lifestyle blog, Lindsay Loves Life.
What You’ll Find at Lindsay Loves Veggies:
- Vegan Recipes- I usually post a few healthy recipes a week. I’m also a green smoothie junkie, and have a special day of the week set aside on the blog for smoothie or juice recipes!
- Holistic Wellness- I believe that when you treat your body and mind right, they will treat you right. Health comes from many different directions, and I want to show you how to incorporate wellness into your daily life.
- Nutrition- Obviously, with a degree in nutrition, I have a thing or two to say about it. I love explaining how certain foods or nutrients affect your body, and why you should or shouldn’t eat them.
- Green Tips- I share natural beauty, house cleaning, and other advice on living green.
