My breakfast was delayed a bit yesterday, because as soon as I got up, I headed into Seattle to finally get my hair cut for the first time in almost a year!
It had become a crazy, out of control mane, so it felt so amazing to get it cleaned up a bit. I got it done at Mode Organic Salon in downtown Seattle by Krystal. Both the salon and my stylist were fabulous, and I highly recommend them. I was even welcomed with my choice of water, organic tea, or organic coffee. I chose to sip on an organic green tea.
When I got home, Keenan sliced up an apple for me to nibble on while he prepared us breakfast.
Breakfast was fried potatoes and veggies.
Have I mentioned that my boyfriend has awesome cooking skills?
A few hours later, I took off for my Growth Group meeting, where I was met with an amazing spread of Valentine’s goodies.
I had some apple juice, and a huge slice of Kelly’s gorgeous cake, and just about went into a sugar coma. It was pretty heavenly. She actually baked cake pops into the cake to give it polka dots! Such a cute idea!
When I got home, Keenan was back in the kitchen making a batch of his famous vegan chili mac.
He makes a nutritional yeast sauce, then loads it up beans and veggies. He swears he’ll never disclose his recipe.
It doesn’t seem like much, but that was really all I had to eat yesterday. All of those carbs kept me quite full.
I woke up today immediately craving a green juice to balance out all of the heavy food that I have eaten in the past couple of days.
It’s all about balance, my friends.

Have a wonderful day!

Your hair is soo cute! Love the bangs! I’ve never been to Mode, but it sounds amazing; I typically go to a barber shop like Rudy’s, lol, but it might be time to get the full salon experience!
