Hey friends! I want to start off by saying thanks for all the love on my last couple of posts! I’m loving the extra interaction from you guys! I said the other day that the blog is nothing without you, and it is so true! Every time I see a new comment I get an extra little burst of joy inside of me. <3
Today is What I Ate Wednesday, but I have to admit, I’m pretty ashamed of what I have to post. Not that my food choices weren’t good… I loved everything that I ate… but Keenan and I went out with out co-workers on Monday night, and I ended up having a few too many drinks. Yesterday was my day off, and I spent most of the day in bed in a hungover stupor. (Don’t worry, it was my day off.) But still, I didn’t end up consuming anything until about 4pm. This is why I hardy ever drink anymore (and probably BECAUSE I hardly ever drink anymore.)
I guess we can call this What I Ate Wednesday: Hangover Edition. (Hangs head in shame.)

Almond milk, vanilla protein powder, flax seeds, frozen banana, frozen blackberries, frozen strawberries.
Smoothie in hand, I drove Keenan to work, then headed to the mall to be an awesome girlfriend and buy him some new shoes. I also swung through the food court and picked up some Phud See Ew with tofu and no egg from Thai Go.
I love those wide rice noodles. They’re one of my top favorite Thai foods. I sat in the food court and savored my Thai, while doing some reading from the book I just started, Wild by Cheryl Strayed. So good so far! Anyone else read it yet?
I hardly ever go to the mall anymore, so I wandered around for a couple hours looking at clothes and not buying any. I only wear normal clothes a day or two a week, so I don’t buy new clothes very often these days. Those that I do come from thrifting the majority of the time. I love me some thrift finds!
I did find some Teavana though. I was a total Teavana newbie when I wandered into that amazing, sweet smelling little shop, but the sales girl took me under her wing, and within no time sent me out the door with a tin of the most amazing tea I’ve ever had.
Citrus Lavender Sage + Opus Rouge. So sweet and rich tasting! Of course I brewed a cup as soon as I got home. I threw in a pack of stevia, although I’m not sure it really needed it.
By the time I picked Keenan up from work, I as definitely ready to eat again, so I made myself an Amy’s No Cheese Pizza and ate the entire thing by myself.
I’ll take caramelized onions over cheese any day! Trader Joe’s has their own (cheaper) version of this pizza that I used to buy just about every shopping trip. I haven’t actually been to a TJ’s in months. I should probably pay them a visit soon, especially now that cookie butter is almost in season…
That was my day in food! Sorry it’s less than inspiring. I’ll make sure that next week is nice and green for you!
What have you been munching on lately?
Affirmation of the Day: I gain health and strength from the food I put into my body.
Be on the lookout for a yummy new juice recipe tomorrow!

No need to be upset w/ yourself about indulging in a few too many drinks.. it’s absolutely okay to do from time to time
Glad you had a fun time!
Thanks, Jessie. I definitely had a good time. Hangovers just suck!
It sounds to me like you ate quite healthily today. Your berry smoothie looks delicious. I’m currently putting smashed peaches on everything. Very sweet and juicy. Hope you had a designated driver last night.
Yummy! I miss living near you and being able to take advantage of your peach tree.
I really like carmelized onions on my pizza, too. I can’t get my family to go sans cheese though. However, we absolutely love rice noodles!
