Grapefruit Green Juice

I’m so excited to share one of my new favorite green juice recipes with you today!

I’ve been juicing pretty much everyday lately, and, let me tell you, it makes me feel absolutely vibrant and alive!  If I miss a day of juicing, my body can tell it’s missing all the fantastic, easy to absorb nutrients!

This is basically like my standard green juice, except that I swapped the apple for a grapefruit.  However, that one little change makes a whole world of difference!  It makes it a little sour and a whole lot of awesome.  It’s actually really hard for me to describe the flavor of this juice.  It’s different, but amazing.

Grapefruit is kind of a shining star.  It’s super alkalizing, low-glycemic, and packed with vitamin A, vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber!

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1″ chunk ginger

Directions

1.  Clean all your veggies well.

2.  Peel your grapefruit and lemon.  Remove as much of the white pith as possible from the grapefruit, or your juice will be incredibly sour.  A little sour is good, a lot sour, not so good.

3.  Run everything through your juicer.  Run the pulp through a second time, to get as much juice out of your produce as possible.

This is definitely going to be one of the regulars in my juice rotation.  It’s just so fresh a delicious, and  complete change of flavor from what I’m used to out of green juice!  The fact that I feel like a glowing goddess after I drink it doesn’t hurt much, either! ;)

So, what are you drinking on this gorgeous Thirsty Thursday??  Tell me all about it!

Sending all kinds of love, joy, and energy out to you guys,

<3 Lindsay
