Strawberry Pear Ginger Smoothie

You know how obsessed I am with smoothies.  It’s a pretty great love story.  You love the smoothies, they love you right back, just like with any deliciously healthy food!  Well, I turned that love up a notch yesterday.

For the last month or so, I’ve been playing around with a delicious pear ginger smoothie recipe.  I was totally crazy about it!  But then yesterday, I decided to do something a little crazy and throw some frozen strawberries into my beloved smoothie.  Oh yeah!  It took the delicious factor up x1000!  Probably one of my best smoothies ever.

Strawberry Pear Ginger Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 T ground flax seeds
  • 2 big handfuls kale
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 pear
  • 4 frozen strawberries
  • 1″ chunk ginger

Directions

1.  Peel and shred the ginger, and core the pear.  Add everything to the blender and mix until smooth.

I am turning into the ginger monster!  I’ve been throwing it in everything lately!  Juices, smoothies, stir-frys…  It adds such an amazing kick to everything, plus it has some awesome anti-inflammatory properties, which make it great to include in your diet when you’re pushing your body frequently. (Hello, half marathon training!)  Give it a try!

Have a totally amazing day!
