Pumpkin Green Smoothie

Happy weekend everyone!!!  Of course, I’m working the weekend, but it’s the afternoon shift, so I still get the mornings free to do as I please!  This morning, that included sleeping in a little bit, working out, and finally making the pumpkin smoothie that I’ve been dreaming of for weeks!


I’ve been putting off an arm workout for a couple of days now, so I finally motivated myself to do it today.  

I completed this circuit three times:

Bicep Curls  15 x 3
Front Raises 15 x 3
Shoulder Press 15 x 3
Tripcep Dips 15 x 3
Girly Pushups 10 x 3

When I finished, I talked Keenan into going for a run with me.  We’re still exploring the trail near our new apartment, and today we ended up doing a 2.5 mile loop.

 I enjoy running with Keenan, because he’s faster than I am.  I end up running faster, in the attempt to keep him from feeling dragged down.  Not that he ever complains about my speed.  Today our time looks a bit slow, because we wasted a lot of time waiting for traffic.  Our new running trail is certainly quite a bit more urban than our last few!



After my run, I finally got to make the smoothie of my dreams!  I’ve been craving pumpkin since the beginning of September, and finally found some last night at the natural foods store!

Pumpkin Green Smoothie

  • 3/4 canned Pumpkin
  • 1 cup Almond milk
  • 1 handful Spinach
  • 1 handful Ice
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 scoop Vanilla protein powder
  • 1 scoop Chia seeds
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • Nutmeg, to taste

It hit the spot perfectly!  I’m hoping to turn myself orange with the amount of beta-carotene I’m going to eat in the next couple of months! ;)
