Pumpkin Carving

Last night, we carved the pumpkins we got at the pumpkin patch!

I decided to go with a peace and love theme.

Came home.

Was gutted.

And received a peace sign on the front.

And a heart on the back.

It turned out pretty cool!

Keenan decided to carve a freaky one-eyed vampire.

I even got a big ol’ bowl of pumpkin seeds out of the deal.

I plan on drying these out and using them for salads! :)

I awoke this morning with only one thing on my mind: I must get in a workout!!!

Since I’ve been sick, I just haven’t had the energy to heal myself, do everything I need to get done, including going to work, AND workout.  I know I said in my post about my sickness regimen that you can continue to work out with a cold, but I also said to listen to your body.  My body was definitely telling me to take it easy, and lots of walking and relaxing ensued.

The last couple days, I’ve finally been back to feeling more like myself, so I decided that today was the day to get back on the horse.  I didn’t want to push too hard, so I stuck with my old favorite, level one from Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.

It was exactly what I needed.  I love getting that sweat going and my muscles burning!  Working out is awesome! :)

My breakfast totally hit the spot this morning.

Apple slices, two slices of Ezekiel toast with Earth Balance, and a Field Roast apple sage vegan sausage.

Sooo good.  And perfect to keep me full until my first break at work later today!

What did you carve in your pumpkin this year?  I wanna see!

Happy Tuesday! (btw, only two more months until Christmas!!!)

Awww sad! At least you get to miss out on the part where you get soaked and covered with mud while trying to get your pumpkin from the field to the cashier! LoL.
