Aaaaand the Most Spoiled Dog Award goes to……
Arlonius Caponius Pimpington McWhorter!!! (Yes, my dog has a full name. No, I was not the one who came up with it. 
)
While I was slaving away at work today, Keenan’s mom (Arlo’s Nana Val) came by and picked up Arlo to go to the spa with his buddies (her dogs) Jager and Baca! Talk about a pampered pup! Someone feel free to whisk me away to the spa! 
She’s keeping Arlo for a few days, and gifted him with some new balls to play with, along with a little fireman costume, that will come in very handy with Halloween being right around the corner! She is so amazing!
Arlo’s Nana Val actually his favorite person, even more so than his mom and dad. If she’s around he’ll ignore everyone else for her attention. If he sees that we’re going to their house, he gets super excited, will sprint to the door when we get there, and heads directly to Nana Val’s lap when he’s let inside. Too freakin’ cute.
For an afternoon snack today, I munched on a banana.

My lunch was a favorite of mine, that I haven’t made in a couple of months: Red Cabbage Slaw!
It’s so quick and easy to make. I swear you’ll love it. I like rotating it in every once in a while to replace my usual green lunch salad. Today, I topped it with some raw sunflower seeds.
My dinner was another really quick and easy dish.
Simply some brown rice and edamame, mixed up with some tamari.
Other than cooking the rice, this took about 30 seconds to put together.
Three Reasons Today Was Awesome:
1. I got a free chai when I got to work today! The computers were down at work this morning before I got there, so our lead got lattes for all of my co-workers who had to work extra hard this morning. I happened to get there at the right time, and she asked if I wanted anything as well. All the benefits without any of the burden. Sweet!
2. I’m happy for Arlo getting to go hang out with his Nana Val and his canine buddies. I’m definitely gonna miss the little guy though. 
3. Keenan’s mom also brought Keenan some Terminator action figures that she bought for him. It cracks me up to see him nerd out with his dolls.

Arlo is adorable! Now that I’m a fellow chihuahua owner myself, I have a question.
I know that they’re very dependent dogs so did you ever have any trouble getting Arlo to stay home alone? Do you put him in a crate? Popcorn just goes NUTS when he has to be by himself and I feel so bad

We actually don’t leave him home by himself very often, unless we’re both at work. Since he’s good about only peeing on his pee pads, we just leave him out loose, making sure that there isn’t anything of value laying around for him to chew on. He still has major separation anxiety, and will cry really loudly when we leave him, and we’ve noticed that he usually won’t even eat while we’re gone (although as soon as we walk through the door he’s at his dog dish!). He’s probably too spoiled. He definitely runs our household.
