Another day, another dollar, another Starbucks iced soy chai!
Along with a light, nutritious breakfast of a satsuma and a Two Moms in the Raw gojiberry granola bar.
I’m finally heading into day six of my six day work week! Tomorrow, I’m definitely looking forward to sleeping in and chillin’ out like this guy!
I love seeing the seals laying on the buoys during my ferry rides. Some days, there will be two or three of them laying on the buoy, and a few more in the surrounding water playing around. They’re pretty cool. Not to mention adorable!
The Happiness Project
Lately, I’ve been finding myself constantly feeling overly stressed, and somewhat depressed about my current situation, mostly pertaining to my commute, my job, and my housing situation. Since none of these things are changing in the foreseeable future, I’ve been trying to find ways to cope with my stress in healthy ways.
This morning, I was Google-ing around for ideas, and I came across the article 100 Reasons to Be Happy Today. #27 on their list suggests that at the end of each day, you should write down three good things that happened to you that day, and why those things occurred. Apparently, a study showed that participants became happier over a six month period, while using this method consistently.
I figure it’s worth a shot, so I at the end of each night, I will write my three things on the blog for you, me, and all the world to see.
Feel free to participate along with me, if you feel so inclined! The say article also states that “shared joy is a double joy”. This is so incredibly true, and is part of the reason why the blog community is so amazing!
I hope you all have a terrific day! I’ll be back tonight to tell you what awesome things happened to me today!
