Well, I’m back in my own apartment again! We got home, and immediately got a heated game of Scrabble going with our neighbor, John. I’m typing this out and playing at the same time. Yay for multi-tasking!
Yesterday was another amazing day in Port Townsend. I woke up bright and early, and began blogging since I knew Keenan would still be sleeping for quite a while. I started out trying to write on the balcony, but the cold ended up driving me back inside.
Check out the necklace! That was my anniversary gift from Keenan! I’m such a lucky girl! Any boy that buys me diamonds is fine by me!
When Keenan woke up, we headed out to find some lunch. It was pouring down rain by the time we went out, so we quickly ducked into a little restaurant off of the main drag, called the Up Stage Downtown Deli.
I ordered some Tazo Passion tea to warm up after being the silly girl wearing shorts in the rain. Keenan said I looked like a high schooler.
Quite a few veg selections were available, but I went with the black-eyed pea burger with a side salad.
It was superb. The people of Port Townsend really seem to take food seriously. Every place we went seemed to be close to gourmet, including the bars! I love that the side salad was actually made of romaine, instead of some wimpy iceberg. The Up Stage Downtown Deli gets a big thumbs up from me!
After lunch, Keenan and I decided to spend the rest of the day hanging out at the hotel room.
We got a couple of CD’s from a really cool CD and vinyl shop to bring back to the room with us. We originally went in with the intention of finding a Pixies greatest hits album. We found it, and along the way we also discovered Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black album, so we got them both.
They made an awesome soundtrack for our afternoon.
On the way back to the room, we picked up a couple pints of liquor, mixers, and some scratch tickets.
From all of our tickets, we ended up winning $1. Totally worth it though. We were cracking up the entire time!
I had a bottle of Absolut vodka to myself.
Don’t worry, I didn’t finish the bottle.
I made quite a few really delicious drinks though! I had the same combination of vodka, soda, cran, and lime, that I was drinking the day before.
I had a great view.
And great company.
Arlo and I ended up having a photoshoot.
I love my dog!
The only time that anyone left the room was when Keenan ran out to get us dinner from Sirens, a bar downtown. I didn’t manage to get any pictures, but I ordered a portobello salad that had some amazing grilled red onion and balsamic dressing.
That’s about the jist of our second day in PT!
What have you been up to lately??
<3 Lindsay
