I love days off! Whether I spend the entire day in bed, like yesterday, or if I spend most of the day running around doing errands, like today, it’s always a good time.
This morning, the bf and I got up and headed out to go pick up some things at various stores around town. Our first stop was to get smoothies for breakfast.
This monster had raspberries, blackberries, banana, and coconut water.
Stop number two was Walmart, for some various items for around the house, including a new full-length mirror.
After that I persuaded Keenan to stop by Barnes and Noble to pick up a copy of the Peas and Thank You book!!!
I’m pretty excited. I immediately set Keenan to work to pick out our first recipe to make from the cookbook. Pea Daddy’s Jambalaya will be coming from our kitchen soon!
We dropped Arlo off at Petsmart for a bath and a nail trim, while we drove to my dad’s house to pick up my mountain bike. My dad’s moving to a house across town from where he’s currently living, so he needs my bike out of the way for the duration of the moving process. No big. I’m hoping to find the time and place to ride it again one of these days!
After taking the bike back to our apartment, we picked up our clean, vanilla scented puppy dog from the groomers.
As always, it’s a candid shot for these guys.
Lunch was next on the agenda. Los Cazadores is a favorite of our for some great Mexican food, and they did not fail us this time. After gorging ourselves on chips and salsa, our meals came.
The portions were huge, and my fajita veggies were perfect!
Some corn tortillas plus this mix, made for some great veggie fajitas!
With some huge ol’ food babies, lots of leftovers, and a happy puppy in tow, we went to the park to take a walk.
Upon returning home, I made myself some green juice, partly to try to counteract the heaviness of the Mexican food, and partly just because we watched “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” last night on Netflix. I love juice, but I really can’t imagine living on nothing but juice for 60 days! Good for them though!
Scooby Doo is helping me out because I cut myself a tiny bit while prepping juice veggies.
- 2.5 carrots
- 4 celery sticks
- 2 kale leaves
- 1 cucumber
- 2 green apples
- 1/2 lemon
Now I’m gonna wake these two sleeping beauties up so we can hang out and watch cheesy movies together for the rest of the night!
Curious what my three things are for today? I’m pretty sure I talked about more than three things that happened to today, and all of them are on my list.
Happy Friday!

Yesterday Will & I were discussing what kind of dog I want eventually and I voted on a chocolate brown chihuahua
It looks like you beat me to the punch! (If that isn’t a chihuahua I’m going to feel like an idiot..
)
And that Mexican food looks epic.
I love my dog. Honestly, I never even considered getting a Chihuahua (hes actually a mix of chihuahua and min pin) until I met him. It was love at first sight though.
